Healing by Whittier
The healing of his seamless dress
Is by our beds of pain;
We touch him in life's throng and press
And we are whole again.
Is by our beds of pain;
We touch him in life's throng and press
And we are whole again.

Prayer for Healing by John Gayner Banks
O God, open our eyes and
our hearts and take away our slowness
to perceive. Put your fingers into our
ears, touch our tongues, says to us the
word, “Ephphatha, Be Opened!” And may
our capacity to speak your words be re-
stored to us, and especially bless those
who come to you with any great need:
O Savior Christ, our woes dispel;
For some are sick, and some are sad,
And some have never loved Thee well
And some have lost the love they had.
And none, O Lord, have perfect rest,
For none are wholly free from sin;
And those who fain would love Thee best
Are conscious most of wrong within.
Thy touch has still its ancient power;
No word from thee can fruitless fall;
Hear, in this solemn evening hour,
And in Thy mercy heal us all. Amen.
